During a weekend get away to Minneapolis I had the opportunity to use the city's bike share program. Boy is it nice! Nice Ride Minnesota kiosks were easy to find and filled to the brim with chartreuse bicycles.
Leaving my bike at home was a good choice. I didn't have to fuss with a bike rack on my vehicle, and worry about it in parking lots or figure out how to get it into the hotel room overnight.
Using Nice Ride MN is so easy. All you need is a swipe of a credit card. The price was more economical than renting a bike from a local shop.
My pedal around the Chain of Lake was a great way to burn off (some of) the calories from all the delicious Minneapolis food. It's also a fun way to admire the stately homes and manicured lawns. The paths were busy on a Friday afternoon, but it wasn't necessary to worry about weaving amongst pedestrians thanks to the dual path system.
The last time I rode this route it was after hauling, loading, unloading my own bike. Read more here. That's something I won't do again. Why would I when there's Nice Ride MN?
