This marks my second year of participating in 30 Days of Biking. Remembering how important a bicycle was for me when I was a little girl (here's the story) makes it easy to take the pledge. To date, over 8,000 people from all around the world have committed to riding their bike every day this month. For every 30 pledges a lucky kid receives a bicycle through Free Bikes 4 Kidz. How neat is that!?!
My Week In Review
Day One: I started the pledge with a ride to the library. It's the place I visit most frequently on my bike. I made returns using the book drop since I arrived before the library opened for the day.
Day Two: 16 miles for a cup of coffee and boy was it worth it! I'll be posting more about that ride soon.
Day Three: A windy day help me decide on a ride around Waukee.
Day Four: Out on the Raccoon River Valley Trail for an early morning ride.
Day Five: In the mood for a movie, I rode to a local RedBox.
Day Six: I had the trail to myself on a misty morning ride to Dallas Center.
Day Seven: Week one wrapped up with finding a burst of color along the Clive Greenbelt.
The next few day look to be gray and wet. Time to get out the rain gear!
